Cruel Shoes is a book collection of unconventional, short stories and mainly humorous essays written by American actor, writer and comedian Steve Martin. It was the first published book of the writer about a mocking short tale about a lady in a shoe store. The book Cruel Shoes was initially published a limited edition in 1977 as a handmade numbered book and 750 signed by Press of the Victoria Dailey (Pegacycle Lady). Cover of the book is nearly pale paper over pressboard. It consists of only 48 pages and most of the stories which already published in the limited edition were not included.
