#11 – Casa de Pedra, Portugal
Inspired by the Flintstones this rock house was built by a family as a retreat. When you see it, it make you terribly smile as it remembers the old times “ The stone age”. Casa do Penedo, otherwise called Stone Castle or a Stone House, is an engineering landmark situated between Celorico de Basto and Fafe, in northern Portugal.Casa do Penedo is interpreted in English as House of the Rock. It got its name since it was worked from four extensive stones that fill in as the establishment, dividers and roof of the house. Its development started in 1972 and endured around two years until its finishing in 1974.
