Dornier Do 31, a West German test VTOL strategic bolster transport air ship (1967). The Dornier Do 31 was a West German test VTOL fly transport worked by Dornier. The Do 31 was intended to meet a NATO determination (NBMR-4) for a strategic bolster air ship for the EWR VJ 101 VTOL strike air ship planned under the NATO contract of BMR-3.The venture was crossed out in 1970 inferable from high costs, specialized issues and a change of necessity.
